While working on his undergraduate degree at Butler University, Jonathan won the college concerto competition and played with the Butler Symphony Orchestra. He also accompanied the Butler University Chorale and numerous other soloists and chamber groups. At Bob Jones University, Jonathan continued to perform with others while studying advanced piano pedagogy. He was awarded a full scholarship and a graduate assistantship to the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, gaining the title Head Graduate Assistant after one year. Jonathan is currently on faculty at Warner University in Lake Wales, FL, teaching piano, music theory, music history, and music appreciation. Betsy Reed
Playing piano has been one of Betsy's lifelong passions. Growing up, she was involved with competitions, church worship, and choir, vocal, and instrumental accompaniment. Because of these formative experiences, she also encourages her students to share their own talents in working towards tangible goals. Her education includes degrees a bachelor's degree in Piano Pedagogy (Bob Jones University 2006) and a master's degree in Music Education (Bob Jones University 2009). She brings around 15 years of experience working with different ages and learning styles. Awarded a teaching graduate assistantship at Bob Jones University, she taught both group and private piano lessons to junior high, high school, and college students. Following her dual passion for music and language, Betsy traveled to Mexico where she served as piano teacher and music program assistant at Ebenezer Bible Institute for the 2009-2010 school year. After returning from Mexico, Betsy married fellow musician Jonathan Reed. A few years ago, they relocated to the beautiful Lake Wales area where Betsy taught as adjunct piano faculty at Warner University for a few years. Though busy as a mother of three young kids, she continues to teach piano part time. She loves seeing her students develop skills and a sense of accomplishment as they work toward biannual recitals.
